Senior Consultant Required

Since April 2005 we have been a subsidiary of Nathan Associates - an international economics consulting firm based in Arlington, Virginia, USA with full-time staff of more than 100 professionals in 10 offices around the world.

 

The Candidate 

We currently have a full time vacancy for an exceptional consultant to work with our team in London.  We are seeking a candidate with a post graduate degree in economics or a related field with a strong interest in developing countries/emerging markets. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years relevant work experience, highly developed project management skills and detailed knowledge of one of our core areas of competency (private sector development, rural development, and financial sector deepening), including substantial experience of working in the public and/or private sectors in developing countries. 

The successful candidate will have an ability to excel in a multi-cultural team environment; ability to work under pressure; strong analytical skills; and outstanding communication skills, verbal and written, in English.

The Role

  • Carry out the delivery of assignments to a consistently high quality;

  • Produce expressions of interest and business proposals for both the public and private sectors;

  • Identify consultants for assignments;

  • Develop business in any of the company’s areas of expertise;

  • Lead and support the management (both financial and technical) of long term projects;

  • Attend and participate in staff and other company meetings as appropriate both in the UK and overseas;

  • Offer suggestions for the improvement of team performance and overall business operations.
